Watch this video as we tell you the reason behind the tradition of touching others feet to show respect.<br /><br />Don't forget to Share, Like & Comment on this video<br /><br />Subscribe Our Channel Artha : https://goo.gl/22PtcY <br /><br />1 Tilottama is described as one of the most beautiful celestial nymph (Apsara) in Hindu scriptures.<br /><br /> 2 It is mentioned in Mahabharata that she was brought into existence by Lord Vishwakarma at the request of Lord Brahma from the best quality of everything.<br /><br />3 The other scriptures suggest that she was composed by using all of the finest and divine ingredients.<br /><br />4 Her name finds its roots from two Sanskrit words; "Tila" that stands for a bit and "Uttama" meaning of finest or highest quality.<br /><br />5 The famous legend from Hindu mythologies state that Sunda and Upasunda were the wicked Asuras (demons) who created havoc in the world.<br /><br />6 The Demigods were attacked by these brothers and were thrown out of their celestial city.<br /><br />7 That’s when Indra and the other Demigods sent the Apsara Tilottama to distract them. Both the Asuras desperately wanted to possess her.<br /><br />8 Tilottama desired for the strongest partner and demanded them to show their strength on each other.<br /><br />9 The brothers didn’t want to lose her and got involved in an aggressive match. At the end the brothers ended up killing each other at the feet of Tilottama.<br /><br />10 Thus she is considered responsible for the mutual destruction of the demon brothers.
